A block and an unlock. All in 2 days

Let me start with the block. Chindia and triangular dance are the words coined by the western observers to take a note of the remarkable rise of the two south Asian nations.

More than the similarities it is the differences which the whole world appreciated. I think when people in India are hearing this word ChIndia they confuse themselves and are trying mimic each other’s moves as if it is like one single country. That is the only logical explanation I could derive from the recent move by the government to block any website’s without any appeal.

These are the things which the government can do :

Block website’s and web content, intercept email, monitor and collect traffic data relating to a website.

All of this will be done if there is any proof that anti-government activities are taking place or if they don’t like you. Déjà Vu with whatever happened in 2001 in the US.

I agree. All these concerns needs to be addressed. But without an appeal? That’s doesn’t look like democracy to me.

Much better than what China had and continues to have. Like the blanket ban on WordPress and blogspot blogs. Or a ban on specific keyword like democracy. But, still a step towards a police state.
