My first post must be started from the beautiful lines penned by Prince:

"Paint a perfect picture,

bring to life, the visions of your mind,

The beautiful ones, will always match the picture frame,

Always, Everytime.

When I took the plunge as an entreprenuer some 19 years ago, and today I am 41, I stared at a vast expanse of possibilities with a big question mark on where I will reach. I thought that whatever happens, I am not going to give up.. .just make the canvas big enough and start painting. I never took the option of going to the US for all the wrong reasons at that time, which I insist that I do not regret and stayed put ... no place like home !

In an India of 1988, nothing was easy, but by 1992, things started opening up and as I build the picture frame ... larger and larger ... the liberalization kept increasing the spectrum of possibilities. As we didnt realize when the liberalization transformed from slow and "Only if" and became the mad dash towards recognition and growth for the country, I also dont remember when my picture frame finished and I started painting on my canvas (I am still at it)..

I am sure it will fit, and when it does in the not too distant future, I will be proud..

1:Nice post. Indeed we have witnessed a sea of change in our life times. I for one seemed to miss the bus and my misguided sense of loyalty to my employers thwarted my growth. Ultimately, I decided to take the plunge as an entrepreneur only recently. Better late than never. However, I do not want the picture to be made according to the frame and prefer to paint my picture before it can be framed.

2:Thanks Mahi.
I cannot say whether I used it to my favor particularly as it is just about the environment that you work in.. I achieved a lot in a material sense and worked for it, but I also lost a lot in a non-material sense which I cannot describe... There are always two sides of a coin remember ?

3:I do agree that in your achievement LPG policy played a pivotal role but wouldn't you like to give credit to your self also to have used it in your favor?
