I am writing this Blog precisely 2 hours and 30 minutes before the big India v/s Pakistan world cup showdown. I am wondering if God is a Pakistani or an Indian ? There are people who believe in ability, the power to think and the ability to execute and then there are people who believe in both. I am counting out the people who only believe in God and do nothing else since this forum is not for them.
There can be arguments and counter arguments but this could be in interesting subject.
The way Pakistan has been surviving when everyone thought that there was no hope left, for example after 9/11 attacks, instead of Pakistan, Iraq got the rap ! one is tempted to think that God, if not a Pakistani, at least has a soft corner for the people of that country. I have met many and I can vouch for the fact that they come as nice a people as we get them here. If we count out the politics, there is not much difference between them and us except the main religion. This country has survived dictators, religious fanatics and countless other things and still exists and its economy grows.
India is headed for great things and certainly is not the most dangerous places in the world to go to or live in. Except the odd rapes of a few unsuspecting foreign ladies and the religious idiots who keep bringing up nonsensical issues in the name of Ram, we probably have gotten away lightly and all we have to hold us is our own very brand of commies who sooner than later will commit hara-kiri!!
On the other hand, being an Indian, I want God to be an Indian! When it comes to the Final of the Twenty 20 World Cup Final ; I definitely want God to be an Indian !!!!
The Next Day - What a match! The heartstopper could have gone either way and there is no shame in loosing this for Pakistan even though the opposition was mentally tougher and wanted to win more badly than the other. God it seems is neither an Indian nor a Pakistani but belongs to all as the final analysis the biggest winner was cricket!
Another interesting point - In any race - keenly fought, the winner is always a nose better ! ... more on it later.
