In view of the 26th November terror attacks, there has been pressure on our Ministers to resign. And news have been pouring in about the fashion conscious Home Minister resigning & the very "financially sound" Finance Minister taking up his charge. And the PM taking charge of the Finance Portfolio. A good gesture” Now let’s see if the terror on the bourses eases or still intensifies. I think he’s done better as the FM than as PM.

Maharashtra Deputy CM resigns & CM likely to follow suit (His fate is in the hands of the so called CWC). I don’t understand what this working committee is all about, making money? Now what? If one is a thief, the other is a dacoit or vice versa. I think, we the citizens of India are & will continue to be victims of these terror politics. I’m sure the ex-BCCI chief must have reached New Delhi if not already, to play his game. Whatever few months are remaining for the new cabinet to be instated and for a new game of politics to begin, meanwhile why not cash in? I’m really surprised at this marriage of Cricket & Politics, though there’s’ nothing to be, as in both, Big Money is involved. All a game of Dirty, Filthy politics, that's what "I" personally feel.

In our democracy, tickets to contest the LS elections are given to the most vulnerable characters of Indian Politics. Cant we, the citizens of India elect someone who’s non-corrupt, someone who’s fearless and thinks of India’s security and not his own, someone who thinks of India’s growth & not his own. If we put on record the criminal records of our Ministers, I think we have numerous cases pending against majority of them. And these cases are pending since years and they are elected and re-elected again and again, may be due to bogus voting, & booth capturing, which is their forte.

Not only politicians, our bureaucrats, our police force, our security agencies, our defense personnel, our corporators, our civic staff, you name the department & you’ll find more than 50% of our public servants who are corrupt. The fault is ours, first we elect them, and then we feed them. We feed them for our greed & our benefit. We jump signals & grease the palms of the traffic policemen, we use extra FSI & grease the palms of the BMC staff, we evade tax and bribe the ITO, and we want to get our file cleared and entice the minister. Why? Because we want more! It has become a habit. Its not that everyone can do what a lot of us do, bribe, so those who can’t, suffer the most, our own brethren, but who cares. I’m free is what everyone thinks. But nobody thinks of India! We keep sowing the seeds of corruption everywhere and expect to be in paradise. If you sow seeds of cacti you can’t expect roses to grow. Even roses have thorns but those are their defense forces.

I don’t say that everyone is the same, and there are a few who live for India, and though they are in power at some point of time either they are under pressure or their chair is toppled. A handful of them can’t single handedly change the face of India but we need to begin, somewhere at grass-root level. We need a mass movement, something like that portrayed in “Lage Raho Munnabhai” It’s a shame that a country with so much potential, varied culture, the oldest history, and a mammoth population is called a 3^rd world country and is a soft target for terror. And countries having just 4 century old history are violently ruling the world.
