User Guidelines For Blackberry Torch 9800

 The Touchscreen sensitivity of Blackberry Torch is way better than its precursor, the Blackberry Storm and plenty of other Touchscreen phones available in market. The Touchscreen sensitivity can be adjusted by going to in the Typing and Input submenu under “Options”. You can adjust the sensitivity by changing the horizontal and vertical settings under track pad sensitive.

 Changing Convenience Key

Changing convenience key which came in by default for camera in Blackberry torch 9800 is tricky, but easy. It can be done using the convenience key, positioned under volume key right side of your phone. Now follow the step to change convenience key

 Frequent Screen

It is annoying to go through all apps to choose which you use mostly. Frequent screen is one of the 5 home screens of the phone, and it allows you to pick the applications you frequently use and understand which apps you use frequently.

 Blackberry Torch allows you to take screenshots by using “Capture It” application. If you can not find “Capture It” application by default in Blackberry Torch, simply open Blackberry browser and download it from http://m.thetechmogul.com/ this website. After download you need to install it. After installation of app you will be asked to reboot the device. Just restart blackberry Torch, you will see “Capture IT” app in menu. Now you can take screenshots, just open screen and go in menu and choose option “Capture IT”. You will get a screenshot of current screen.

 Making Soft Reset Blackberry 9800 (Torch)

To make soft reset Blackberry Torch simply Press Alt+Right Shift (Cap) + Delete. Your Blackberry Torch will be soft reset.

Deleting All Data

 Sometime you need to delete unwanted emails, contacts, media files, apps etc. from your Blackberry Torch. To delete all such data from blackberry torch simply go in Options > Security > Security Wipe. You will see there options to check items to remove which I mentioned above. Check items which you want to delete and hit wipe button.

Finding IP Address of Blackberry Torch

You can find IP address of Blackberry Torch, simply go to Options > Device > Device and status information. You will there IP address listed.

Checking Available Memory status

If you want to check how many memory available in your blackberry Torch, go to Options >> Device >> Storage. You will see there information of available space, used space, and other memory information.

 Resetting Default Settings

 If you have set custom setting and you want to get back to default setting (Factory setting), simply go in Menu >> Reset Settings. Your blackberry Torch will reset to original factory setting with deleting custom setting.

Customize Text on Lock Screen

You can type custom text (welcome text) on lock screen of Blackberry Torch. To customize text go to Options > Display > Owner and write the text in input area that you want to display on screen.
