Christo’S Engagement – Memorable Journey To Cherish Upon

Attending the engagement, wedding and reception of office colleagues is great fun. Groom / bride is delighted to see their colleagues who could make to such crucial occasions in an individuals life. I hate travelling so attending weddings and receptions are a bit tedious for me. When Christo invited me for his engagement I could not turn down his polite request. He told me Pradeep was sure to attend the engagement.

Engagement was scheduled to be solemnized in Cochin and I didn’t knew any travel agencies there for my return trip.  I asked Pradeep if I could join him for attending Christo engagement and way back? To which he said “ya sure” (so nice of him). A day before when I was about to leave office for the day Pradeep asked me to send him the “travel itinerary” and it needed to done right away. Though I had never prepared a travel itinerary, but was prepared and send to him on time.

My pick up point was a toll bridge connecting Silk Board to Electronic City. Pradeep and Alok were at front seat and for me they had kept a small pillow at back seat since no one was there except me. Looking at the arrangement itself I started getting sleepy. Pradeep was at driver seat and told me that the moment he found me sleeping, he would throw out of the car. I was assigned the task to keep Pradeep and Alok awake through talks. Was bit scared initially and thought how the journey would be?

As we proceeded I discovered a new Pradeep who was good at cracking jokes, pulling legs and at helping individuals to identifying one’s inner strength. Alok & Pradeep are too keen on security issue, through out our journey both of them ensured they had put on their seat belts and car’s doors are locked.

We reached Cochin at 2.30 and Christo was in constant touch with me to check where we reached, he went to bed once we checked into our hotel room, where the bookings were done in advance. After sleeping for 3 hours we headed towards “Athrinpally falls”. Its a wonderful place, Pradeep enjoyed the small trek but me and Alok were fully exhausted. We hurried back to the Hotel tochanged and proceed to the Church to attend the engagement ceremony. I was allotted 2 mins to get ready. Couldn’t believe I was ready in 2 mins (created record).

Christo was looking handsome with his beautiful fiancee, photographers were behind him to pose for photos. After greeting him we headed towards the mouth watering dishes served on table for us, Vimali joined us for lunch as she reached at Christo’s place directly from Bangalore. After finishing lunch we headed towards hotels to check out with Vimali on board. Way back to Bangalore was more fun with Vimali joining in and the situational songs being played.
