Hop on Hop off.. It's IT

The thoughts struggle and settle back, I am very sensitive to people and how they make their choices to hop on and hop off to jobs every now and then. It happens most in the IT industry for many a times reasons which are not thought enough I am indicating towards the increasing trend of people changing jobs frequently in the IT sector for reasons like this

Quick pay jump

Onsite Opportunities

Better designation

Many a times it is used mere as a tool to get these benefits without putting in a lot of effort and hard work and in-turn affecting the very chemistry of the industry. The more the trend is increasing, the lessen the grip and power of getting the work done on time with quality, Worst case, sometimes it is even used as a threat. Not very encouraging to know that the industry is trying to fight back and organizations are trying to positively focus on this challenge and living with the trend but for how long?

There is a certain limit of flexibility which once reached will simply break the trend and start moving the sails to outsource in places where people spend lives for work and not the other way around This one single factor is very negative on the industry and the current clientele is hard on it thinking of either introducing practices to overcome it or moving the harbor to another deck. Looking at the trends in other countries or even other industries within India, the trend looks to be very encouraging where the average time spent in a company is thrice or even more than it is in IT industry. People may need to think of prominent and legitimate reasons to jump over to another job to stabilize their very own career than anything else. The process needs to be

-Thoughtful

-Analytical

-Practical

This is a challenge for each one of us standing hailing for the IT industry to strengthen its roots and take the nation to new heights. Even today we take proud in our nation's capabilities of doing an outstanding job but further down the road are competition and challenges waiting and we will need to make every negative factor look down and make ourselves strong to deal with it. This factor is just one!
