What happened in Mumbai last week is not going to die down soon in our memories. This indeed was most barbaric incident on humanity after 9/11. We all are out raged and angry and we should be, but the big question is with whom? Today we all are blaming Politician along with our ineffecicient system. But the bigger question is who has chosen these inept politicians and created this ineffective system? In my view more than anybody else, we all are the culprits, the common man walking on street. And I believe these incidents will sedulously happening unless we will stop voting on the basis of cast, creed and community. We don’t deserve to have a safe society if we sedulously electing people like Shahubuddin, Shibu Soren and Raja Bhaiya to lead us. These are few names but we all know the fact that majority in Political system today has same deeds.Essentally I believe before blaming anybody we should honestly ask lot of question to ourselves.

With all due respective to sentiments of people who thinks that chanting slogan’s on the road ,burning effigies of politician and lighting candles on India Gate, Gate of India will fix the things or would triggered the change. Somehow I don’t see that happening because what I believe, unless we start a debate with-in ourselves and honestly decide and get determent within, and permeate the pledge that we will not violate the traffic issue. We will not bribe anybody regardless of how much I am going to suffer. We will not cast our votes on the basis of CAST, CREED and Community basis. We will not skip any security check points. That’s where the change going to start with immediate effect.

Some of you might argue how does this going to make a difference to national security? And probably this is the argument we kept come up with throughout. And this is where we had been miserably failed to tap a vicious circle which causes us maximum damage over the year. We always have tendency that “I” alone can’t make a difference. In a nutshell the root cause of this whole problem is we all. We are the one who bribes politician; we are the one who bribes police, govt.clerks to get our job done without suffering and infuse the corruption in system and made this system ineffective and futile over the year.

Everybody today is asking “When are we going to learn?” perhaps this is the most important and most relevant question in today’s scenario. But the problem is we are asking this question to wrong concern, I am not all defending Politician or anybody who is accountable for this. All I am trying to state that unless we hold ourselves accountable ,channelize our energy and convert our anger to bring profound social changes…….. this will keep happening…………………..

1:My bog on the topic in full agreement with your observations.
Seek not afar the terrorist.

Nearly two weeks have passed since the terror attack in Mumbai. TV channels have been active in analyzing every aspects of the incident. People who came out alive and victims' relations were interviewed to let the world know of their ordeals. They were consulted on further course of action that India should follow to tackle the menace. Some wanted to bomb the enemy. Others wanted to show the other cheek. Some wanted diplomacy. Others wanted signals of our hardness to be sent across. Few politicians who dared to make an appearance merrily continued the blame game they are so used to. TV Journalists were busy not wanting to miss this golden opportunity of showing off not only their journalistic abilities but also potential cine traits. It was democracy in full swing Every Indian, right from the beggar in the street to the prime minister of the country had his/her say regarding this incident. One thing common for all was that their index finger was pointing away from themselves. For the question who is the terrorist, the appropriate thing would have been the index finger pointing to oneself. Every Indian is a terrorist, since everyone fits in with one or more of the few following items randomly listed:

Never voted;

Evaded taxes or cheated on taxes either occasionally or habitually;

Paid or received black money for house purchase or sale;

Paid bribe to get house registration papers or other government documents in reasonable time;

Accepted some form of gratification to do ones own assigned duties on occasions or as regular habit;

Delayed payments to housing society where one stays on some pretext or the other;

Condoned wrongful activities of their own wards where deterrent punishment was called for;

Never did any charity or if done, saw to it that it is publicly acknowledged;

Tampered with electricity meters;

Overstayed in official quarters and left without paying all the bills;

Used official vehicles for personal purposes;

Paid or received donations in schools or colleges other than within prescribed limits;

Accepted or paid dowry for marriages.

I doubt whether there exists a single Indian who has not committed at least a few of the above trespasses. The list is not exhaustive and can include more of such unsavory acts. It is unfortunate that we accept the above wrongs as normal without ever thinking that by these acts we terrorise our own people day in day out. These acts hurt us more than bullets. It is these acts which failed to intercept the terrorists. It is these acts which make our borders porous and vulnerable. Every Indian is guilty of helping the terrorist. If we don’t mend our ways our future is bleak.

2:Believe me i am very much happy to see your thoughts and to know the remedy for the ongoing disease..

Only with this thinking and its implementation we could achieve something we are looking as a "change".

we indians only have got that ability to purify the present political system,so instead of playing this blame game we should introspect ourselves..

Today at least i promise myself to be the honest & will better try to follow the same....and Certainly "I" alone can make the difference..!

thanks..!
