India - Pressure Cooker
We are all under a constant threat these days. India as a country has turned into a pressure cooker these days where every one of us is under pressure of some kind.

Compared to the times way back in the 90s we are much stressed in more ways.

- We are under pressure at work to perform well, so that we can be ahead in the race to accumulating more wealth;

- We are under pressure at home to perform even better so that we have a peaceful family life and that we meet everyone's expectations and our own standards and value systems of being responsible people

- We are under pressure in relationships to perform even more 'cos at the end of the day, life is all about enjoying relationships and maintaining them with the least strain and maximum comfort - which usually does not turn out to be the case so.

- We are under pressure from our peers and from citizens of similar social strata to outperform them so that our survival is taken care of

- We are under pressure from competition of all kinds

- We are under pressure from Nature for it is getting depleted of all its resources and we are getting impure items from it for consumption.

- We are under pressure in general due to lack of ethical behavior on part of the population in general

- We are now also under pressure from terrorism - which can strike anytime anywhere anyhow. So now the pressure is on our very existance too - be it a metro city or a small village, we are under constant threat on our lives.

So where do we go from here? Is India ready in any way to help it's citizens live a better life than before? The administration itself is under constant threat since the time the policies have become so open... so can they provide threat-buffer or threat protection to it's citizens not only from all these factors but also from it's own corrupt agencies and ministers?

How do all of you individually deal with these pressure situations? Can you share your ideas for all of us to know and learn and grow with?

Can we all leave our pettiness behind and start trusting people - at least at the level of being the evolved cyber-citizens that we all are now?

Will the pressure cooker situation remain so for ever? or will there be a blast within each one of us that is going to bring in a flood that will change everything with a destructive force?

Will the hypocratic beings in us wake up, shun that hypocrasy and look at reality without coloring our vision?

Would you like to share your views and opinions on this pressure situation and ways and means to tackle it?

Note: The other day I was reading a reader's comment on some rediff.com's article. The individual said that India needs a dictator

- but my counter point was, India needs a dictator - very true, but a selfless dictator who is there for the country and it's oppressed masses and who is out there to correct the system... and not a dictator who is there for his self interest and for the interest of a select few.

1... Take a break & read the book, The Monk who sold his Ferrari by Robin Sharma
2... Have a talk with the family in an 'intervene' kind of environment !!!
3... Sit with the family and SET COMMON GOALs (like health, God, energy, job, money, fun, kids education, vacations, charity, retirement, plan A, plan B etc.,), I call it TEAM GOAL !!!
4... Stop putting Band-Aids to LIFE... Perform a SURGERY for LIFE !!
5... Even DEATH is very painful; Life is how we live and not how others want us to LIVE !!!

Good Luck !!!

Modern life, dharma and natural patterns of living
A TV program about a gay from Sweden who found the innocent small community in India living according to traditional life for farmers was presented. The community developed with tourism and concluding marks was that he was not so settled and carefree as a decade or 2 back, eve though he now owned o house of stones... During the last hundred years or so we on earth have become billions more, someone says owing to the oil, but can it be that the car and focus on economy, has left people without family dharma, natural and traditional patternsof living, so they seek to be with someone, not alone, seeking more children. If natural dharmafor a country is lost as by genetic manipulation, loss of family dharma, economy focusing og earning money (according to experts refered in Mahabaratha, one should never do, one should act according to dharma and seek to earn on it too) etc. this effects everyone, even though with good economy and family dharma as traditional values is. The good thing about the situation described where the problems are clerified, concrete steps of action meeting the challenge of time, not being indifferent, is there. Universal valuesof dharma for one and all is found and established as the science of wholeness enterprise. Realising the infrastructure of world peace, not world pressure to abuse people economically, sexually, by need to be dominant etc. A garantued minimum income will give people more independence, less pressure and more peace, asexample. Global warming with risks og loosing oxygen balance, destroying world economy etc.may be within combined efforts to establish worldwide hydrogen society creating a billion jobs, including producing the food people may bay for a minimum income. Giving a safety net to one and all may be easy, fun, and with modern technology and communication including 1008 best business opportunities for the world, with free cometation with codes of honor of global integrated growth. Ignoring ones duty being indifferent, makes oneself a terrorist, terrorist can not live in peace without pressure! We welcome one and all to deserve better!
