A courageous attempt by director, actor and Producer Sasi Kumar,I term it as corageous because the film Subramaniapuram is almost a remake of Paruthiveeran,Directed by Ameer. Here the Plot is very similar, the best comparison would be the madurai slang predominent in both the film, 2 guys one bit older and the other bit younger enjoy their own style of life without going to job,In Paruthiveeran Sevaalai (Saravanan) and Paruthiveeran (Karthick) make a pair and here Paraman (Sasi Kumar) and Alagar (Ajay) make a pair, Heroine's (Swathi's) Character also has some similarities,In Paruthiveeran though Muthalagu (Priya Mani) knows that Paruthiveeran is a wrong doer yet she madly loves him and she also tries to groom him good, Priyamani also gets some advice from her teacher ,Similarly here in Subramaniapuram the heroine Knows that Alagar is a wrong doer and she wants to groom him good and she also gets some advice from her friend.Similar to Paruthiveeran here in Subramaniapuram also the hero is being brutally killed ,one more similarity is Kanja Karupu,he has acted in both the films. Can we say this as a sequel to Paruthiveeran or it may be a remake,Anyways the film scores with all A,B and C sectors,All credits to director for atleast choosing differrent characters except Kanja Karupu.

New Heroine has emoted well, though she is looking like a girl next door yet she had almost expressed everything with her 2 big eyes,Ajay after a graceful show in Chennai-28,has given a stupendous performance in Subramaniapuram.Director Sasi Kumar was good in every frame and had stole the entire show when he takes revenge by Killing Samuthrakani.Credits should also be given to cameraman for his work, each frame was very good except for few scenes,The Star of the film is none other than James Vasanthan for very good music by him.

Though the film has many goods yet it has many bads too, the plot was similar to Paruthiveeran, Serial Killings ,the blood stained Paraman at the very end of the film.Iam bit confused with the Censor board of India,Since the people in censor board give [A] certficate for a film which would have less blood sheds or less Romance scenes and would give [U/A] certifiacate for the film with heavy Blood sheds or with an Ugly Romance scenes. As for as this film [A] certificate was necessary to avoid the Children or young adults from seeing the bloodsheds and the killings

Overall the film is worth for our ticket spent

1:'Little knowledge is dangerous' is proved once again by Thirugnana Sambandan's immatured review.

How do you compare Subramaniapuram with Pauthi Veeran? Your points are
1. Madurai slang - Paruthi Veeran is based in a village, where Subr... is based in Madurai city. Paruthi Veeran langugage was criticised by many saying it was exaggerated and very filmy, whereas Subra...was natural and realistic wtihout any put on accent, as they were not actors but real people.
Story based in Madurai, you can't expect them to speak Greek and Latin, dear Mr Prudence!
2. Two people in Paruthi... are compared to Azhagar and Paraman in Subra...
If you compare it with another film just because two guys were together, then you have to atleast line up 1000 films from India and Hollywood. Kudos to your brilliance!
3. Muthalagu and Thulasi are compared next - Here you are touching heights with your extraordianry brains.
What a contrast in characterisation. A docile, soft-spoken, quiet and real life character is found similar to the all arrogant, noisy, impolite cinematic character, to your super artistic sense? Bravo!
4. Karthik getting killed in Paruthi, Jai getting killed in Subra... is a your next invention.
We all wonder how you didn't find a similarity of this film with 'The Passion of the Christ', where Jesus Christ gets killed!!!
5. Kanja Karuppu similarity - Fortunately you were not reviewing films when Sivaji Ganesan, MGR, Rajni, Kamal were in their hay days.

The greatest relief and blessing to the whole world is that you are not part of the Censor Board.
We expect more such intelligent reviews from you to be reminded of the fact that not so sensible people also inhibit this earth.
We have some menial jobs in our company for which we find your candidature very strong. Though that work also needs some amount of sense, we can ignore it in your case, 'cos we don't want you to be a burden to whoever you are presently working for.
