about beasant nagar beach
Wednesday 26th, March 2008
recently i went with my cousin brother to beasant nagar beach and there it was fine to just laze around in the beach sand and experience the warm evening beach air. infact it had rained there in the morning and the sand was compact with the rain. there were very little people there. one of the reasons might be that it was a week day evening and it was just early evening by western standars, beasant nagar is basically a residential locality , an d you can call it posh by indian standards, all the buildings on the sea front have great views. once i bought a kite with about hundred meters of sewing thread and it was great to have the tug of the tailed kite in one hand and munch some local peanut with the other hand. infact even sea food is available in this small beach. i once observed during a weekend , when huge crowds gather at this beach, that boat ride to the deep sea and back is arranged. i do not know whether this is being done after taking permission from the civic authorities. further , the riders in this boats are not provided any protective jackets to wear, however this would make the trip costly. at least the joy riders should be asked before hand as to whether they know swimming or not.
