Google's Logo in Morse Code (27 April)
Actually I missed it. I mean, I didn't care for it, despite the fact that I have studied them in Engineering. They made life of an HAM Radio Engineer easy. Or rather I should say, Short & Sweet!
Look at the logo below(The middle one-cryptic one). This (Image) was displayed as main logo, on 27th April, on Google.com (You would have already noticed). How many of you really cared for it? Do you really know what those alien characters popped up on Google home page? If you have ignored it then, let me share with you the story!

The occasion was particular. The day was unique. Google was celebrating the birthday of Samuel Morse, the inventor of Morse Code. This is not something new on Google home page; I mean you often get to see the changes in Google Logo as per the season or even as per local festivals too. But I was delighted to see Morse Coded Google Logo (GOOG) on home page on 27th. This was something amazing!
Now something about Morse Code & it's inventor. Samuel Morse is the original inventor of the Morse Code. When I was learning them, we used to say it like “dit dit dah dah dah”. They are famous because of their importance in wireless communication industry. The Morse code is a form of language. Every letter in the English alphabet is represented by a series of dots and dashes. This form of communication is extremely useful in encoded messages because not too many can understand it. It was also used as the early of telegraph. Today’s wireless communication and internet technology still rely on Morse Code. Even modems communicate using the Morse code. You can’t pretty much connect to the internet if your modem is unable to send and receive signals in Morse code. This principle also holds true for other media of communication like cellular phones and telephones
