I often say that we are limited by only our vision. May be lack of vision comes with fractured views of future where we lead nowhere. So it's time to ask for help. One such initiative was carried out by Wired.com recently to help US Federal Government in carrying out National Broadband Plan- which will be presented in Next February. For them at stake are billions of dollars in government funds, the nation’s standing in world broadband rankings, the digital divides between rich-and-poor and town-and-country, and perhaps even the future of the U.S. economy. Are you getting it?

President Barack Obama has called for the United States to become a leader again in internet access — now that the nation pitifully trails Europe, Japan and Korea in both speed and affordability. Earlier this year, Congress allocated $7.4 billion for rural broadband projects as part of the stimulus package. And while telecoms and towns are fighting for some of that money, that’s likely to be only a small fraction of what will be spent, once the government has a plan on how to make net access in the States better, faster, cheaper and more competitive.

Enough is enough. In anticipation of those federal dollars, hundreds of citizens, companies, industry associations and community groups have already let the FCC know what they think the nation’s plan ought to be, and Wired.com readers join them today. So in April, Wired.com readers submitted hundreds of suggestions and voted on them. Editors have taken the most suitable of them and will be submitting it to FCC on Monday. What a example of participative democracy. A common man has a voice in shaping up such an important policy. Can we have some inputs from it? Can we think on same lines?

Here are some inputs given by Wired.com to FCC. Check it out at http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/epicenter/2009/06/wired-readers-broadband-suggestions.pdf.

Now I would like to urge SiliconIndia to bring such initiative in India through one common platform. Can we push up the same in India? Will our voices be echoed in Upper & Lower Houses? Can we push the National Broadband Policy-2020 through which we could bring Broadband to every school & every village in India? Can we do that? Share your inputs!

Readers of this blog post, give your invaluable feedback. Let's push through SI Platform. Let our voices be heard. Let's shape our future by active participation.

(I request all readers of this post to make a valuable suggestions. I am early looking forward to your suggestions. It’s an idea; let’s work it out together)
