When we started dealing with non-IT SMEs we began to understand what a pain IT is for them. Repeatedly duped by vendors who over commit, over charge and under deliver, many of them wonder if they are really better off with all the computerization.

An anguished query from a business owner made us architect Captain Mail : "Why can't email just work, the way telephones do?" And we have been successful to a large extent: over 130 customers, and counting.....

Captain Mail is a totally managed service - the customer signs up and just forgets about the whole thing...... and just goes about his business...... It has a whole lot of features SMEs need, including:

* Security from the Internet

* Internet access control and reports, to prevent misuse

* Email data backups and searchable archives

* Secure inter office / branch office connectivity

* Access from anywhere, for traveling staff

* Full management and telephonic support

2:1. SME segment treate Software as a non important silly thing, since they can't visulise the efforts put by good IT company physically. They have a fixed mindset, " I can spend xxx amount for Software" i.e. in thousands only.

2. SME owners mostly experts in their own field, Feels they have built the company from scratch and brought to this level, so what software can do for me nothing, so why to pay for IT product.

3. IT companies try to show them the ROI/value proposation, But owners of SME feels they are taken for ride hence they go with low cost vendors and get bad expierence.

4. SME owners should hire some Good IT -consultants the way they hire for ISO certification etc.. snd main thing they should trust IT consultant too, than go ahed for deploy IT policy in their company.

5. If fact we have worked for many SME as a IT-Consultants, If someone needs further guidance can talk to undersigned.

3:IT for not IT SMEs becomes a pain because vendors as well as the SMEs are not clear in terms of their requirements, which isn't managing their emails only.

4:SME don't have sufficient funds to afford the requirements expected out of them. They don't want to pain anyone but they are helpless.
