Solutions for dell printer scanning and faxing issues
Scanning issue
If the scanning task takes long time or the machine is dead due to this, change the scanning resolution to lower value.

3.click “check for more scanning settings”
4.choose the lower scanning resolution from the “scanning quality option”
5.click “start scanning”
If the pictures are of low quality, change the scanning resolution to higher value.

5.click “begin to scan”
Using picture remove function, we can delete images from magazines and newspapers.

3.click “for more scanning settings” and then click “advanced” button.
4.choose “delete pictures from magazines/newspaper” in the “pictures” tab, and then click “ok
5.click “begin to scan”
If you couldn’t scan for the applications, choose other ones. Make sure that the scanning glass is clean and the original file or picture is correctly placed on the scanner glass. If the scanner glass is dirty, use water to wet a piece of clean cloth and then wipe the scanner glass.
Faxing issue
Make sure that the printer and the computer power is on and the printer is correctly connected to USB wire. Also the simulated phone wire should connect to the computer too.
To use the faxing function, we need to connect a phone wire to the modem on the computer.
When using dsl(digital user route) broad band service, make sure that the phone wire install a dsl filter.
Make sure that the computer has not connected to the internet through the dial-up modem.
When using external modem, make sure that the power is on and correctly connected to the computer. When the printer storage is full, sent a page of original file every time.
When scanning original file and sent it to the fax, scan the picture and store it on the printer storage. When faxing pages of files or sending faxes with attachments, we need to use more printer storage. If the storage is full, the faxing speed will be very slow or the computer may crash.
If the fax that the printer received is blank, check the ink amount. If necessary, change the printer box.
