USE � DON�T ABUSE!!!

Two friends walking along the railway tracks to reach their office� both receive calls on their mobile as they are waiting to cross the railway tracks�. After a while the first girl starts screaming something at the other, but the other person is oblivious to what her friend is saying� and keeps walking, walking and steps on into the railway tracks �..

These multimedia mobile phones let you enjoy all the comforts in a single device. Apart from the instant access they give us, mobile phones can be vital, convenient and cost-effective for people who want to stay connected all the time. With mobile phones becoming a necessity, manufacturers are introducing all types of latest phones with never before seen features packed in exceptionally slim and stylish devices, putting the world in your pocket.

At the personal levels, the Mobile phones is an invention which has made the lives of worrying mothers and wives much better� they can reach their children and spouses to know that they are safe�

It has also been a blessing for all those superiors who can reach their subordinates at any time in the day�

Today our vegetable vendor, auto driver, milk vendor and our house keeper have mobile phones� making our lives easier�

We can report an accident, an emergency, and multi-task as we are accessible at the personal and professional levels

Life has become much easier after the invention of the mobile phones� but is mobile phones worthy losing our lives for???

There is a saying in Tamil that when taken beyond the required levels, even the most sacred Amrit which makes one immortal can kill us� and how�

The most useful invention which keeps us connected can also be a nuisance and cause disharmony in many lives�

How many of you want to be accessible to your superiors (at home and at work front) at all times� there was a time when there were only the good old landlines and I could make my mother inform my boss that I was not at home�. But today, if I don�t pick up the mobile or respond to the missed call within a certain period, I am going to be charged with insubordination� there are employees who threw expensive mobiles and well paying jobs just to have peace of mind�

Even the minor facts that we can access our dear ones ends up in a mess, when just using that accessibility my husband or my son call to tell me that they will be very late� they have kept me informed, isn�t it� when they come home, I do not have the privilege to sulk or reprimand, as the case may be� as I have been informed, haven�t I?

These mobile phones also make us accessible to colleagues we wish to avoid other than in work place, and let the younger generation get into unsavory relationships� let me quote an incident I read on the net which spoke about an IT professional working at one of the top MNCs murdering his wife and committing suicide, thanks to the amount of time his wife was spending on the mobile on unnecessary calls�

The teenagers and younger generation who lack direction and cannot be monitored due to these personal mobile phones have got into unimaginable trouble and they are scared to discuss it with their parents or other elders�

These are the minor aberrations, but when they occur frequently have the power of disrupting peaceful lives�

Is the abuse of mobile phones only causing problems with close family and friend relationships and some psychological impact as well� �.. But the abuse has deeper and life threatening implications�

Mobile phones is a necessity, but there is a time, place and appropriate usage norms that each one of us have to follow�

Just look at the picture� what you observe� is it right� is anything so important that you don�t realize the danger we cause to ourselves and others on the road�

The number of accidents happening on the Indian roads due to talking on mobile phones and driving is much more than the accidents due to drunken driving�

The traffic cops are doing their best to check this, and last Wednesday, TM Zachariah had to pay Rs.1100 to the cops for speaking on the mobile while traveling in the car�

He could have refrained from taking the call and spent that money on giving us all a good treat�

The two friends who were crossing the railway tracks�. One stopped to take a call and then started walking after she completed the call� while the other friend was so oblivious to her surroundings and kept walking and talking, not realizing that the call was the last one that she was going to be talking on� she could not hear anything else other than the person at the end of the line� and the driver of the electric train did not expect her to step right on to the tracks and it was too late�. Too late to bring back a life�. Use � Don�t abuse� our life is too precious and we should not lose it for the sake of just one phone call� however important it might be�.
