Have A Leadership Development Plan
If you are working to develop your leadership skills, develop a plan.
Identify the following:
- Where do you have opportunities to display leadership?
- How will you be demonstrate effective leadership?
- What kind of legacy would you like to leave?
- How do you distinguish yourself?
- How do you avoid falling into a trap and become a bad leader?
Following is an example of how you can brain storm ideas and develop one for yourself.
1. Lead and Complete a transformational change: At work, At Home, Community/Neighbourhood, Personal Network
2. Mentor new leaders: Directly or Indrectly
3. Lead by Example
4. Make Every Interaction with others count
5. Avoid Bad Leadership: Don't Micromanage, Trust others, Choose Words carefully
