Leadership Defining Moments
As you are working on your leadership development, think about the following:
- What are the defining moments in your life that are guiding you?
- Defining moments leave lasting impression on following:
- Your values
- Your passions
- Your resolutions
- Your habits
- Recollect your past experiences that had strong influence on you
- Remember when you used strong words to yourself
- I am never going to do that ….. (these will define your values)
- I am never go let that happen again … (your habits/resolutions)
- I am going to do something to change this situation … (your passion)
- This is best thing that ever happened to me … (your resolutions)
Reflecting on some of your recent experiences as a leader can help uncover your defining moments.
In most cases they may have had positive impact on you but you can also check if you need to discard some of these to realize your leadership potential.
