Induction on first day about company and then:-
1. programming concepts
2.database management system
3.software engineering
4.softskills(2 days)
5.sql and query processing
6.JCL(mainframe starts from here)
7.COBOL language(7 days)
8.DB2
9.CICS
10.quality assurance team (internal training of syntel where they tell us about standards and products in company,whatto do and what not to)
This is for 2 days
Finally case study for 7 days where we are divided in teams of 4-5 members and are given to develop a system on mainframe(like a mini project)
For all the above modules there will be tests after each module is complete and the cut off is 60%
software engineering has no retests,u have to clear that in one shot or else out of company and same is with final case study(the system has to work)
question paper is very easy in all modules,basically consisting of objectives(20-30) marks except in sql and query processing where some queries were asked(easy ones)
