Turn your resolutions into a sales revolution!
Monday 31st, December 2007
I love New Year and the build up to it. It’s the ending of one chapter and the beginning of a brand new chapter in the story of our lives. It’s a time for resolving to do better and be better going forwards. We can all be better and we can all do better in every area of our lives. Some of those things can be done for free or little costs and some need money. Doing better in our businesses can help with that. This year, don’t just set the normal type new year resolutions – like exercising more and eating less chocolate. Make some sales related resolutions……

Resolve to raise the bar on your activity, performance, and professionalism

Resolve to keep focused on your personal goals and why you are doing it all in the first place

Resolve to be brave and to do the things you know you should do (even if you do not feel like it)

Resolve to continually be of service and to seek opportunities to help solve customers and prospects problems on a win-win basis

Resolve to master the basics of your sales process and the numbers associated with each stage

Resolve to be in control of your numbers and use them as a guide to where you can get better

Resolve to take defeats as an opportunity to learn and improve

Resolve to continually work on your relationships, communication, and influencing skills

Resolve to learn from people who are where you want to be

Resolve to keep your integrity, stay authentic, and continue to sell without being pushy

Do some of these and you will have a fabulous year in terms of sales. Do ALL of these and they will add up to a total revolution!

Have a very happy holiday and an exceptional 2008!
