20 Tips - New office

Whenever one joins a new office, the first week will be spent on meeting people,intrioduction,induction etc.,,

 

Here are a few points that can help.

 

1.Arrive early to the office.

 

2.Get introduced to as many persons in the office.

    Remember their Name, Title, Job responsibilities.

 

3.Go through the protocol,do not skip or overlook.

 

4.Read through office Manual,Hand book,Power of  

   Expenditure,Employee hand book,etc.,        

  

5.Know fire safety and usage guidelines, exit route.

 

6.Intimate bank account details for credit of salary through bank transfer.

 

7.Collect Cell Phone, SIM  etc.,

 

8.Ascertain about relocation expenses and claim it.

 

9.Speak less, listen more.

 

10.Do not give on the spot comments.

 

11. Carry note and pen and jot down discussion points.

 

12.Do not try to change things over night.

 

13.Settle down quickly.

 

14.Avoid talking about personal matters.

 

15.Make a list of points for improvement if any. Wait for your turn.

 

16.Be available in the office.

 

17.Keep personal calls minimum.

 

18.Get separate e mail id, Business card, stationery etc.,

 

19.Avoid using the following statements:

20. Visit Factory, Project site office to gain first hand knowledge

       about the activities.
