This is a based on an experiment conducted by Dr. Sugata mitra CEO,NIIT Delhi.
This experiment is Titled as " Hole In The Wall". As an experiment pcs were kept on road side area of shipuri a rural area near Delhi. where will find a bunch of slum and a crowd of poor and illiterate people. These pcs were given internet connection and switched on every morning all these are done without proper announcement as if its nobody's bussiness. As a result it was found few curious children come near pc and try to know what thing all about. slowly the have learn how to switch it on and subsequently they got to know how to utilize internet. This idea " Hole-In-The-Wall" was a great successand evolved as a great idea of education unkike our age old traditional education system. As a further step to the experiment they have Implimented the same i.e pcs with internet connection at school play ground along with a facilitator who will guide and answer the children quries. As a result the schools have found agreate deal of internet and motivation with in the student to play and learn even the students who have left education and earn their learning by child labour have also come and try to learn. and gradually their learning exteened to learn and gradually their learning extened to learn english along with normal computer oparations. The Shivpuri experiment Observations .The kiosk was made operational on the 26th of January, 1999. It was turned on withoutany announcement or instruction. A video camera was placed on a tree near the kidskinorder to record activity near the kiosk. Activity on the CPU was monitored from anotherPC on the network. This enabled the kiosk to be monitored and, if necessary,
