Residential Projects in Mumbai, a Top Most Priority

Residential projects in Mumbai are a top priority for both the public and private sector due to the demography of the city. It is one of the most densely populated cities in the entire world. It is famous globally for its economic position and blend of modernity. What sets it apart from others is the people of the city and the rising purchasing power capability and per capita income of people which led to economic progress.

Mumbai's growth since the 1940s has been surging steadily. In the early twentieth century the population had reached a million. After independence the population has doubled. The next five decades led to an increase in population by ten folds. It was approximately estimated to be over 16 million by 2000. Employment opportunities in the city and growing number of commercial estates have led to an influx of millions here. Because of the limited physical expanse of the city, the growth in Mumbai's population has been accompanied by an incredible increase in population density.

Residential property builders are faced with tremendous challenges due to the high expectations of residents and apartments buyers. Residents today seek commercially vibrant, aesthetically attractive, and pedestrian-friendly place to live, work, and play. Homes are not only perceived to be a place to live but a space to develop, grow and experience. This is one of the major reasons why projects are advertised depending on their location and features along with the surroundings. Accessibility to other parts of the city and other facilities are also stressed upon. An area in south Mumbai might be less preferred than suburbs if it is not equipped with facilities. Even though it will be a better investment, residents today like living in the lap of luxury with all necessary features at their footstep.

Clubhouses as a concept has become inseparable from luxury residential apartments as it are a method to lure apartment buyers to their projects. A survey has revealed that sixty percent of modern flat buyers put clubhouse facilities as a priority while making purchasing decisions. A clubhouse is usually a place to unwind for residents who spend most o their week in the hustle and bustle of the city. An average mumbaikar leads an extremely hectic life and wants to spend the weekend relaxing at home and engaging in fun activities with other family members. The clubhouse equipped with sport facilities, swimming pools and gardens allows him to do that in the proximity of his own home. Also the growing urban young generation is fitness conscious and thus residential projects today are mostly equipped with gymnasiums or have quick access to them.

Even though the city is cramped with people and demands are growing tremendously, projects in Mumbai still have to set them apart from others by offering residents unique features along with the residential property purchased.
