Impel puts TRAI's NCPR list on the Cloud!

With the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) becoming very serious about Unsolicited Commercial Communications (UCC), it has become imperative for all callers in India to comply with TRAI regulations. 

Impel CRM customers now have a simple way of ensuring compliance. Phone numbers registered on the TRAI’s NCPR portal are now identified with a crossed-out red phone icon in Impel CRM. This will immediately identify to the user that this number is in the TRAI NCPR portal and therefore should not be called.

Impel CRM now contains all the current 270 million phone numbers that are listed in the TRAI’s NCPR portal. And the list is updated every 15 days automatically. Impel CRM provides several phone number fields to users – Primary Phone, Secondary Phone, Mobile Phone, Work Phone and Home Phone. All View pages that display these phone numbers, check Impel’s internal NCPR list and display the Do-not-call icon against numbers registered in the NCPR.

Our focus is really on the non-telemarketing companies. For them, to know if a number is in the NCPR and not call that number is extremely important. Since we are updating the NCPR lists on to our cloud-based infrastructure, the checks for compliance are made at the point of phone number display, our users always have access to the latest registry lists”, he added.
