NEW DELHI, Nov 29 (PTI) The body of NSG hawaldar Gajendra Singh, who died fighting terrorists in Mumbai's Nariman House, was today brought to Delhi before being taken to his native place Dehradun for the last rites
Rajvir Singh S/O Jaswinder Singh Doom Cheeri, Ropar, Punjab , 33, was injured in the firing on the fourth floor of the hotel. He is now recuperating from two bullet injuries on his feet and arm.
At a time when MNS chief Raj Thackeray praises the martyrdom of 'Marathi' policemen ignoring the heroic efforts of security personnel from outside the state, an NSG commando said he did not bother about what politicians say.
"Our mission is to fight against terror and we do not think what politicians say about us (North Indians)," said 29-year-old NSG Commando Sunil Yadav (BIHARI) who was injured at the Taj Heritage in the terror attack.
"We will go anywhere and perform our duty. We are here to fight against terror. We would continue to fight for the nation. We are not bothered about politicians' comments," Yadav said.
Yadav was among the group of commandos which came to the city on Thursday morning to take on the terrorists. Yadav was brought to Bombay Hospital on Thursday evening after three bullets hit his left thigh.
Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, 31, was killed while engaging terrorists this morning at the Taj hotel. An officer of the Bihar Regiment, he was commissioned in the Indian Army in June 1999.
