TS EAMCET 2017 results have been announced, and to everyone’s surprise, a Samosa Seller’s son secured a splendid 5th rank in the exam. Vabirisetti Mohan Abhyaas, whose father Subba Rao is a Samosa Seller by profession, has made it amongst the top rankers of the state by securing the 5th rank. Not only this, he has topped AP EAMCET and scored AIR 6 in JEE Main as well.

Elaborated as Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test, TS EAMCET is a state level entrance test. This test is conducted by JNTU University on behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher Education.

Through this examination, candidates are granted admission in various courses being offered in the field of Agriculture, Medical Science and Engineering, by various colleges and universities in the state.

The popularity and significance of this examination are proven by the fact that nearly 2 lakh candidates appear for this exam.

TS EAMCET Toppers’ list also includes names such as G Jayanth Harsha, K Ram Prasad and A Sai Bhardwaj who emerged as the top 3 scorers in Engineering stream whereas KNVS Neastham Reddy, G PradeethSundar Reddy, and G Abhinav Reddy have scored Rank 1, 2 and 3 respectively in the Agriculture and Allied Stream.

Surprisingly, no girl stood in the top 10 scorers in engineering stream, while 3 girls were able to make into the list of top 10 scorers in Agriculture and Allied Stream.

First Let’s Take a Look at TS EAMCET Results 2017

TS EAMCET Results were announced on May 22 and the results have been fairly impressive.

This year, a total of 2,20,169 candidates registered for the examination. Out of these, 79,033 candidates registered under the Agriculture and Allied Stream, while 1,41,136 candidates registered under engineering stream.

However, 1,31,899 candidates from engineering stream actually appeared in the exam while 73,000 candidates appeared from Agriculture stream.

The number of candidates qualifying from exam stood at 98,596 for engineering stream, thereby making a pass percentage of around 74%. Around 87% candidates who appeared for agriculture stream qualified the exam, with exact number being 63,570.

Interestingly, toppers of both the streams in TS EAMCET, Engineering and Agriculture, belonged to Andhra Pradesh and not Telangana.

Engineering

In the engineering stream, a score of 156 out of 160 scored by G Jayanth Harsha led to Rank 1 in state. Exactly the same overall score was scored by K Ram Prasad, who got rank 2. Rank 3 was secured by A Sai Bhardwaj, who scored 155 out of 160.

In the list of top 10 candidates in engineering stream, 5 candidates were from Andhra Pradesh, whereas 4 were from Telangana. No female candidate was able to secure a place amongst the top 10 scorers in engineering.

Agriculture

KNVS Neastham Reddy became the topped in Agriculture and Medical stream with a total score of 153 out of 160. The second rank was secured by G PreethamSundar Reddy, who also scored 153 marks out of the total of 160. By securing 151 out of 160, G Abhinav Reddy secured an overall rank 3 in the state. How a Samosa Seller’s son topped TS EAMCET?

The results of TS EAMCET have brought unmatchable joy in the family of Subba Rao, who is a Samosa Seller, as his son Vabirisetti Mohan Abhyas has secured a magnificent 5th rank in the state exam.

V Mohan Abhyas has rightly proved that it does not matter what your background is, if you are focused and hardworking, you can do anything.

Not only this, V Mohan Abhyas has also scored an all-important Rank 1 in the AP EAMCET exam. Along with this, he has also scored a splendid score of 345 of 360 out in JEE Main examination and thus has obtained an All India Rank 5 in this national level examination.

Truly V Mohan Abhyas has made his family very proud as he is going to be the only person in the family to do engineering. When asked about the secret of his success, he said that he had decided to do engineering in an IIT in class 8 and was thus focused on his dream right from that day. He never missed any class in his school so that he can know all the concepts that he needs to know.

V Mohan Abhyas also said that this is a bigger success for his parents as they have done more than what they could afford to continue his studies. He said that he studied like a normal student and credit of his success goes to his parents and teachers.

V Mohan Abhyas has also performed brilliantly in JEE Advanced as well. With a score of 339, he has bagged All India Rank 64 in the examination. V Mohan Abhyas said that he wants to become a scientist and Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam is his role model.

The achievement made by V Mohan Abhyas is truly admirable and inspiring. He has proved that all obstacles can be removed if someone has the determination and courage to do big.
