A moderate situation prevailed in the Indian job market as the upheaval that marked US economy during recent times started subsiding to a great extent. It is the demand for manpower from US, which add up momentum to the job market in India to some extent, especially for the iT/ITES sector. US stood as a major outsourcing hub for the IT industry in India for quite some time now. Hence the negative trend in the financial structure hampered the scenario over here.
A recent survey made by Assocham reveals that a favourable growth trend is yet to be witnessed in India. The survey has even speculated that during the recent couple of months jobs in the manufacturing sector might drop down.
There had been an assessment of the key trends in the job market based on the different cities and it has successfully pointed out that which are the particular cities that create maximum jobs. It has been observed that 76% of the total jobs are created by the Tier-1 cities. It has been noted that about 82,254 jobs are been created in the Tier-1 cities. The  main reasons behind this  might be that the companies are mostly concentrated in these cities therefore the potential candidates are more likely to find job opportunities in Delhi NCR or other metros that in  favourably smaller towns. Still, the welcome note is that the tier -2 and the tier-3 cities are also fast developing more of job opportunities.
A growth rate of about 207.5 %- 607.6 % could be seen in terms of job creation in the Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities during 2011 and it has far exceeded the figures in 2010. The employment opportunities in Delhi are far higher.  The increasing amount of jobs in Delhi made the city stood first in the category and the cities followed it in the chart include, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai. The next in line with quite favourable figures include Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.  Now if one is curious to know that which sector created the maximum number of jobs than it is obviously the IT sector, which tops the list. Though , most of the time a slowdown is anticipated in the IT sector  but still the sector emerges as the one which calls for  the best of talents at all time  and continue hiring at all level of management . The second one in terms of creating job opportunities is the Banking & Financial Service sector.
Then one by one comes the turns for  the manufacturing sector, engineering sector , Telecom , Pharma, as all of them create significant  job opportunities in their own capacity. The job opportunities in Delhi NCR region is the sum total of options from all the sectors mentioned.
There are also other sectors which are gradually developing and   contributing to the job creation spree in India. The ones that indeed worth a mention include, Event Management, Advertising, Infrastructure or Real Estate. Hence, the addition made by them cannot be denied, when it comes to job creation.
