Business success of corporate and bamboo flowering

Many corporate do engage in the business of ‘seasonal bamboo flowering’ and some may find success also.  The question is not whether such an approach is wrong or right?  But do they know the fact that the nature has already set a finest example for the corporate.

The plant bamboo is a member of a grass family – Gramineae.  They are monocarpic plants or in simple term, flower and produce seeds only once in their life time.  Most species of bamboos flower once in 12 years or more.  The interesting thing about bamboos is that all the plants in the thicket flower simultaneously, then produces seeds and then would perish totally.  Scientists only could hypothesize the reason and unfortunately no one could go near truth.

During such flowering season of bamboo, the plenty of seeds of the plant would offer the rodents enough to eat and multiply in great numbers.  When food is plenty, naturally the biology of any living thing on earth would positively favour its reproduction.  Once the flowering season is over, the bamboo would perish completely and a new bamboo thicket can be seen only after a while.  Naturally when the food resources get depleted, the population of rodents also would vanish.

Exactly like bamboo flowering, some corporate flood the market with their products in the beginning and then advertise about the product to ensure every one in the given region notices, watch, listen and tempt by it.   Thereby they create enormous buyers/consumers for the given product.   Once the product is being used by the buyer and has felt that it is not as what it was promised to be, would reject completely.  By the time the company would have made its profit and with the profit they have earned would disappear from the scene.

To see them again with another set of products, one has to wait for a while like how a new generation of bamboo thicket take sometime to appear.

These marketing companies strictly follow the business approach of ‘seasonal bamboo flowering’.  Of course they may not know, what they do is what the bamboo also does.  Like the mass flowering of bamboos once in 12 or more, suddenly they appear in the scene with products and heavy advertisement.  Attract the customers in the given season, make maximum profit and then disappear from the market.

They do harvest and earn only in one season.  They believe in the theory of huge investment breeds heavy profit.   This requires time, to strategize, pool resources, plan, understand the market, attract the customers etc.

The point of discussion is that, what exists in nature only man practices in the corporate and in his business.  The learning from nature is therefore important for every corporate and hence they should commit to the cause of conserving the nature.
