Cool apps for Android and iphone

1.     Sanebox (Email Organization):

Algorithms determine the importance of each email, move unimportant messages out of the Inbox into a separate folder, and summarize them for you. Now you can focus on what’s important for you.

SaneBox works anywhere you read your email – Gmail, Exchange, Yahoo, AOL, Apple Mail, Outlook, iPhone, Android etc. There’s nothing to install or download, we just add a folder to your email!

You can move attachments into the cloud.

Attachments are hard to find and take up lots of storage space in your email. Sane Attachments scans emails in your Inbox for attachments, puts them on Dropbox, and replaces them with a link.

 Use it for both business and personal.  Take all  meeting notes directly in Evernote.  Scan/fax documents to Evernote that you want to keep.  We can take photos of dishes at a restaurant at dinner and store them in a notebook called “Favorite  dishes” Keep copies of all of  critical documents (driver’s license, passport, insurance documents, etc.) in a notebook and name it.

3.  DropBox (Cloud Document Storage):

Bring your photos, docs, and videos anywhere.Share easily with friends, family and teammates.Your files are safe.Free for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Mobile.

Keep your files up-to-date across multiple devices and stay in sync with your team, effortlessly. Dropbox for Teams offers administrative tools, phone support, and as much space as you need.Safely store documents in the cloud so you can access from any computer or mobile device.

Create the folders and have them Finder Favorites and my Dock (on Mac) and set the default sort order to be by Date Modified,so that your most recent documents show up at the top of the list and access  quickly drag things to them and/or access documents.

4.  Action Method: (To-do List):

Capture and manage Action Steps (tasks to be completed).Delegate Action Steps to anyone, and track their progress.Manage and coordinate deadlines.Organize projects

Simple tool that organizes to do lists, delegate and track tasks.

You can  Use the t color codes to set priorities.  One color for tasks that –must- be done on the scheduled day, net colo for tasks 2nd priority and 3rd color for tasks  to get things done on that day but can be pushed if there are other priorities.   color code for calendar can be used. Priority colors can become the basic prioritization system  overall.

 

5.  TripIt (Travel Organization):

TripIt organizes travel plans into an itinerary that has all of your trip details in one place.

Simply forward confirmation emails to plans@tripit.com and TripIt will automatically build an itinerary for your trip that you can access anytime, either online or from a mobile device.

The Pro version will alert you of flight delays and gate changes.

You can download the mobile app and put it on your home screen.  Create a contact for plans@tripit.com and forward all itineraries to that contact.

 

6.  YouMail (Voicemail Automation):

 8.  Yammer (Internal Communication):

Most powerful social enterprise network.

 Your company exectuves can network to use it.  You can use it as your primary source of communicating information to your team and has a quicker adoption.

 

 9.  miCoach (Fitness):

 miCoach is your personal coach. Choose training plans or create your own. Track your workout progress, get coaching feedback, and see improvements.

Exercise keeps your mind sharp.  The miCoach iPhone app acts like your personal trainer.  You can lose wright. using this app and use it at home and while on the road.Good for hotel gyms and running.)

Setup  workouts in advance.  I selected “Get Lean” for running and “Get Fit” for gym work outs.  Buy the heart rate monitor and stride sensor, it’s worth it.  What gets measured gets done.

 

10.  iSleep (Sleep/Meditation):

  iSleep Easy app contains a wide variety of guided meditations to help you fall asleep and sleep deeply. You can listen to the meditations with or without several choices of music or nature sounds. In addition, you can create your own sleep program using a Playlist feature which allows you to listen to up to six meditations in one session, choosing which music or nature sound you’d like in the background and how long they will continue after the voice guidance stops. If you prefer to listen to music or nature sounds alone, a Sound Mix feature allows you to listen to a combination of music plus a nature sound, or two nature sounds together.

It’s important to get a good night’s rest.  If you’re like me, your mind is constantly racing and the day’s work never ends.  The iSleep meditation app helps you fall asleep and stay asleep.  It’s particularly helpful on those trips where you have jet-lag and/or can’t fall asleep.  I use the “Deep Sleep” playlist at the end of a long, stressful day.
