Job Profile:
As of now I works as associate consultant in R&D department at my organization. Day to day works consist of developing & maintaining web services which powers our mobile applications.Mentoring as and when applicable and managing&supporting few of our servers.Also had to interact with different teams
The Decisions That Matter
Obviously, dropping out from MBA will be first one. Moving to Bangalore from Kerala. Moving to my current Company was also a really good decision.
Degrees That Matter:
Nah, A bachelors degree is enough combined with good analytical skills. Certification will add value only when you have experience. :)
Done Differently:
I'd have selected a NIT for my graduation, Apart from a big brand like NIT or IIT, I don't think nothing else will make any difference to my career or knowledge than now.
Plans For The Future:
Well, It's quite hard to predict, but I would like to see me as an System Admin with polyglot programming capabilities. I'm a techie, so not even looking at being a manager, ie., doing only management work is not something that I like. I mean what I said - I'm an MBA drop out,
Prized Accomplishment(s):
Even our MD know my name now, he called me once too & considering, it has been only 5 months I started working here is quite a big achievement. It's something that I'm really prod of.
Changes In The Professional Environment:
Aah, I'm not the right person to comment on that, better leave that to persons having 10+ years of experience.
Advice For New Professionals:
It's highly competitive segment & there are complaints that good candidates are scarce. Reason include huge amount of students are joined this stream with influence by others, not because they have passion to it. For young professionals, All I can advise is that start with small firms, ...
