Bhuvan Khanna's Story

The Journey So Far:
After having tasted the growth path with Webonise from being a Software engineer to Business Analyst, to Team Lead and Project manager, I am now enjoying myself by consulting web and mobile products to businesses and start ups. The journey till now has been fast, intriguing and humbling.
The Decisions That Matter
Been ready to change, and learnt along the way. Its important to let go of your comfort zone, if you want to really make it big. Letting go of the developer's profile in Webonise, knowing that it was the only thing I understood at that time was a big leap of faith, and has worked out great for me.
Working Life Management:
To get a balance, you need to leave the two ends of the scale free. The one that is more important at that given time will automatically outweigh the other.
Plans For The Future:
I often ask this question to candidates that I interview, and believe me there is no smart answer to this question. "Where will I be in a couple of years from now?" well.. I have no idea. I just make sure I live the moment absolutely before its gone.
Prized Accomplishment(s):
Accomplishments fade away as you move faster than the speed of life. Building products, managing teams, and closing deals, gives you an adrenalin rush. But there is that one thing, one moment that always makes you smile with pride. For me it was creating appBazar - the first Indian Android app store
Changes In The Professional Environment:
When I joined Webonise, we were just a 10 people, working like a geeky startup, with late night coding sessions and pizza parties. With time and work we matured into a 70 people organisation with its own challenges and victories. Growing up is never easy, but we have made sure its still fun.
Growth Strategy:
Read good books, meet new people.
Advice For New Professionals:
Don't just work in a job. Outwork your job, that is the fastest way to grow.
