The 7th edition of the signature event of the northern region in the IT domain, eRevolution2011, is all set for two days of deliberations from 23rd September at Hotel JW Marriott.
Hosted by the Chandigarh Administration and Punjab Government, the event attracts enthusiastic participation from entrepreneurs, startups, and other players in the IT ecosystem that is evolving strongly in the north.
eRevolution 2011 has been organised regularly since 2005 and has paved the way for attracting new investments and entrepreneurs in Chandigarh and Mohali areas, and in more than one way brought about dramatic changes and supportive proactive role of the government.
This year's theme is "SMBs: Time to Grow Big", to help the small and medium businesses in the IT/ITES sectors to explore the potential that exists within and outside the country to scale up their operations.
Nasscom, STPI, TiE, Chandigarh Technology Park, Indian Angels Network, Punjab Infotech and IT department of Chandigarh are some of the key players who would be interacting with the delegates.
SMBs indeed hold the key to Indian economy and in the IT sector a large number of young entrepreneurs have added value to the digital world. They are the one who are bubbling with new ideas and concepts and if given the right push, can create another success story.
Chandigarh and Punjab, with its IIT Ropar, and large number of other knowledge industry players, educational institutions, and superb infrastructure support, are the hubs for innovations.  Already there are unknown IT entrepreneurs who are providing examplary solution to the people around the globe.  There is a growing number of startups who are focussed primarily on product development, and events like eRevolution brings together everyone on a single platform to network and explore newer opportunities.
