We have all the Resources that we Need

Managing Director
"People have all the resources that they need to make the changes that they want."

Many people admire Henry Ford for his achievements in the automobile industry. One noticeable thing we can find in Ford is his Willpower. Not only did he believe in doing the impossible, but he also greatly believed in his people’s ability to get the job done. For example, when he attempted to produce the V-8 Motor, he presented a plan that the engineers thought impossible to follow. According to the engineers, the plan was too complicated. Ford urged them to stay on the job for as long as it takes, making necessary changes and adjustments as they go along. Sure enough, after six months, the engineers succeeded in building the “impossible” V-8 Motor.

What does Henry Ford’s success attitude teach us? By learning from him, we can see many obvious virtues such as persistence and determination. However, a more important trait that we can learn from Ford is his belief in the capability of his men to do outstanding feats. He is aware that people already have all the resources that they need to succeed in attaining their goals. The results may not be perfect and polished at first, but eventually any person has an ability to make necessary changes to be able to achieve the desired outcome.

George Patton, a general and iconic figure in World War 2, once said: “Don’t tell people how to do things…tell them what to do and let them surprise you with their ingenuity”. This means that people already have enough inner resources to achieve their goals. You have an innate potential to do extraordinary things.

Have you ever felt inadequate or that you cannot make a difference in your life (or the life of others)? Perhaps you’re one of those people who believe that you’re “too old to change” or may be "I can not do it". There are many people who blame their negative attitudes and traits on their brutal childhood experiences and their mind was programmed negatively in their childhood. Some believe that they cannot change their attitudes and become a better person because of their roots and background. Don’t believe those myths. Regardless of who you are and where you came from, you have the capacity to change for the better. Through a deeper understanding and application of certain mind programming techniques and tools, you can “reprogram” your mind in a positive way and initiate major changes in your personality, attitude and behavior.

Of course, change is never too easy. Sometimes, it takes a lot of work on yourself to be able to undo negative thought patterns which have already become habitual. But just like Henry Ford and George Patton, you must believe that you already have the resources, motivation and will power to change for the better! Another thing you must realize is that you are not alone. You can partner with anyone or hire the experts in your quest for self-improvement. With the help of right coach or mentor, you can begin to identify your personal strengths and weaknesses and start an action plan for overhauling your mindset.

Believe that you have sufficient resources already residing in your mind. Remember, if there is one thing we can learn from history, it is this: “anyone can change”.
