We will change

We had planned to go out for shopping and accordingly last Saturday my daughter and I hired an auto rickshaw to drop us at the market place. We were busy talking to each other and had covered half the way when our auto slowed down as there was traffic signal but instead of stopping and abiding with the law, he suddenly looked left and right jumped the signal and speedily took the auto away.

I asked him as to why he did not obey the rules? He answered with a cross-question "Aap ka kuch bigra" and kept on arguing. I told him "Haan bigra hamara bigra desh ka bigra" To this he answered "Desh tho phele se bigra hain" I told him " Haan aur bigaro, sudhroge nahin?"

Finally after a few minutes we reached sector 18 market, Noida. All said all done when we got down and I was handing him the fare, he realized his mistake and admitted again and again that he had done wrong and should have followed the traffic rules. He further added from now onwards he would maintain the code of law.

I do not how far what he said would be true, but needless to say I had a feel of glow, contentment, a feeling of elation, and his answer satisfied me. I said in loud whisper, "We can change, we will change"

Only five minutes I kept on telling the auto driver the same thing firmly and made him understand that he had done wrong, it was not on how much I had done but the effort I had put on the doing.

I realized this short journey made me stronger, gave me the will not to give up, taught me valuable lessons, knowledge and gave me a reason to be thankful, I stepped forward --------------

A little bit of patience from everyone, at home parents teaching children, in school only three minutes from each period, end of the day we are left with 20 minutes and this valuable time we teach them the road protocols.

Every citizen of India should be aware of the rules. You cannot expect a twist in the story and an angel waving the wand of glory but yes the labour and toil will not go waste, flowers will bloom, the seed of knowledge planted will bore rich fruits and when so many thoughts of listening are put into action, it works------------
