Keri Beach: Why it deserves a visit during a Goa tour?

When you land in Goa, you will be spoiled for choices of beaches. The state has been magnanimous in the number of beaches it has offered to tourists. Since, all of them are of public nature, thus all kinds of travelers have free access to them. This also makes us come to the point about the hottest and the not-so-hot beaches in Goa.

Keri Beach, nested in north Goa, is one of the less popular and less known beaches. However, it would be wrong to assume a prejudice against it just because of its less fame. Admittedly, it receives less footfalls but that often works to its advantage. The crowd is paltry on this corner. So, if you are in hunt for some less crowded beaches where you can have a quiet stroll, then Keri Beach fulfills your requirements with perfection.

Keri Beach is not very far from Panaji. It lies barely 28 km away and can thus be reached in around 40 minutes or so by a private car. You can easily hire a private vehicle from Panaji or even catch a bus which would certainly be cheaper.

Some Goa beaches include this beach in their program. While it offers serenity of the highest magnitude, it also gives you a chance to visit the Tiracol Fort. This fort lies slightly off the shore and is reachable with the help of a ferry. Tourists who visit the Keri Beach make sure to take a tour of this fort which forms a picturesque background with the shore.

On the downside, the scope for commercial activity or adventure sports is fairly thin at this beach. But if you are looking for sunset strolls in a quiet milieu, then perhaps no other beach can beat the Keri.
