DRAMA OF DEMECRACY OVER, TRADE OF TIME PASSERS BEGINS - II

Confused Congress:

Facing double responsibilities, congress leadership is in the state of ambiguity. Keeping a balance between the partners and future prospects, congress is finding it very difficult. NDA is set to reach at the neck of the UPA worrying Congress, at the same time, keeping the partners of third front intact requires painstaking maneuvering from the congress party.

Seems very unlikely, even thought congress leadership is vehemently claiming the top job and putting all its weight behind the Man Mohan Singh. Congress is undecided which side they tilt, whom to consider ally and whom as a foe. It yet to decide whom to consider the future prospects once the results are out. Rahul Gandhi claimed recently that NDA, the ano
ther bunch of parties, are only in BJP’s mind and has no existence. Now that has boom ranged since Lalu and Paswan didn’t appeared for the cabinet meeting and Karunanidhi sent his emissary.

Congress fought election against Lalu and Paswan in Bihar and tried to lure Nitish Kumar, the ploy failed. Congress collaborated with Mamta in West Bengal and now seeking the support from the left parties. Left parties are not in mood to give in to congress this time, since the wound are still fresh of Man Mohan bites on nuclear issue. NCP chief Sharad Pawar has been nurturing the dream of PMship since 1991. He must be looking at the prospects of third front government, where every partner seems ready on his name.

Picture is not rosy for the Congress as its partners of UPA are not in a position to maintain their tally of last Loksabha. Tamil Issue hunted congress in Tamil Nadu and this time jailalitha is all set to sweep the poll in TN, which further going to dent the prospect of the UPA. None of the so called UPA partners are placed well in their state, be it Lalu and Paswan in Bihar, or Karunanidhi in Tamil Nadu. Only states congress can get the big chunk this time are Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Orissa, and Kerala.

Decent seats can be achieved in States like Gujarat, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh. Congress can also expect the good seats from North East, since they are the only major player in the region. All in all, seems calculations of congress and charisma of Gandhis will not reward in a fashion, they have been hoping. Though Rahul Gandhi have been working hard to regain the ground and achieved decent success in Uttar Pradesh, is not able to dater the prospects of BSP.

Sonia Gandhi has called a Meeting of the Party general secretaries, also has invited UPA partners, but seems until results will come out, no one is ready to listen to congress. Projections are showing dismal performance of congress and NDA is all set to cross the numbers of UPA. The only worrying factor for congress is NDA's surge in the tally.

Projections, which never has gone write in recent years are saying that both the combinations are set to seat
