Tata Vista based Crossover Vista D90 Xtreme Unveiled

The Indian autos major Tata has unveiled a new crossover concept Vista D90 Xtreme alongside the top-end variant of its flagship hatch Tata Indica Vista. The vehicle is considering as the competition of Renault Duster and Ford EcoSport but it’s more like Skoda Fabia Scout and the upcoming VW CrossPolo. The concept is based on the platform of Indica Vista, the D90 Xtreme  has a raised  suspension of 25mm and features number of cosmetic like a tailgate-mounted spare wheel (to give it the appearance of an SUV), black cladding on the bumpers and below the doors, roof rails, flared wheelarches and larger, 16-inch alloy wheels.

The car will also feature the 'Rough-Road Package', which is an off-roading package.  Along with these exterior changes, there are also some change inside including the black leather seats with yellow stitching with a plenty of thigh and lumbar support. Moreover, the car receives an aluminium gear knob, aluminium pedals and door levers are in satin silver finish.

Tata announced that the engine has also been tuned formore power and better performance the 1.3-litre multijet diesel engine of the Vista now churns out the maximum of 104bhp (improvement of around 13-14bhp). The tweaks include a modified exhaust, a remapped ECU and an optimised turbocharger, which has been done at Tata’s R&D centre with a little help of Fiat’s performance division Abarth. The D90 Xtreme is expected to launch by end of this year, with an expected price of around Rs 7 lakh.
