Coonoor hill station is considered to be the second biggest mountain resort in the area of Nilgiri. It is located at an elevation of about 1830 m above the sea level and bounded by tea gardens. It is primarily a tea gardening small town which offers pleasant climatic conditions all over the year. It lies on a toy train line between Ooty and Mettupalayam.

3. Dolphin’s Nose

It is situated 10 km far from Coonoor. The dolphin’s nose is basically a big roch which looks like a dolphin’s nose. It is a popular picnic spot in clear environment.

4. Sim’s Park

It is the most important sightseeing in the Coonoor. It is a botanical garden with around 1000 species of plants. The garden is developed in the Japanese style and popular for its annual vegetable and fruit show which held in the month of May.
