Meghalaya is a beautiful state of India that lies in the North eastern part of the country. The state has Assam to its north and shares boundary with Bangladesh. Shillong is the capital city of Meghalaya, also known as the Scotland of the East. The lush forest of the state is unique and distinct to that in the north and southern part of the country.

Shillong is the popular hill station of the area. The Shillong peak is among the highest peak in the state. The hills provide adventure activity like trekking.
