CAT 2010 exam will be held across 32 cities, same as last year. While the city will remain the same, the number of exam centers per city will be reduced. This is because of the extended CAT 2010 exam window. CAT 2010 will be held across more than the ten days it was held last year. These are the important information on CAT 2010 which has been shared by Prometric

Confirming the development, Soumitra Roy, MD, Prometric India said, 'CAT 2010 will be held in 32 cities. We will reduce the number of CAT centers per city to ensure a much better student-experience. We can cut down the number of centers because we will be holding CAT across more number of days.'

"We are very clear about our goal, which is to offer a problem free testing experience for the CAT 2010 takers," said Roy.

According to Roy, the preparation for a smooth conduct of CAT 2010 has already started and the main concern is to avoid all the technical glitches that raised and bothered the CAT takers in 2009. "We are much more stringent with our selection process for test sites this year. We will select only the best of the lot. This will help in making CAT 2010 seamless and glitch less exam," assured Roy.

While sharing the comprehensive plan for a glitch free CAT 2010, Prometric is making specific changes in the site prep and delivery areas. "We are concentrating on the specific improvements on site preparation and delivery areas. For registration, a new website is getting developed. We have sought help from a global usability consultant for this."
Prometric is in talks with new technology partners after the company and NIIT decided to part ways for CAT 2010. Roy said that this time there will be more than one partner for implementation of CAT 2010.
