It should be one of the basics to master before going for a job interview. After going through the interview and getting the job, your skills of conversation will always guide your career vertically.

Deep knowledge of your field: After skills of expressing yourself, the knowledge proceeds and clears your way towards getting a job. If you are an MBA and applying for a job in a marketing firm, and you are not aware of fundamental marketing terminologies; it is going to be hard for you to get the job. Be prepared and be clear with your lessons. You cannot answer a question unless you ‘know’ anything about it. Thereby, before going for an interview, just know well your area of interest.

Be confident: Interviews are about showing off your confidence and impressing the interviewer with your confidence level. Always answer maintaining the eye contact with the interviewer.

Know your Resume: It is becoming a trend these days to process candidates in plural rounds of interview. Generally, first round, if it is not a written test, will be the interview with an HR person.
