I have no idea, how many fresh graduates  enter the job market every year.  But the competition is fierce since the number of applicants far out-number the number of jobs.  So as a fresh graduate  how do you strike all the numbers in Bingo and take home the full house.

Being a fresh graduate, most of you are on the same platform.  Or as I would say - almost the same platform, as it becomes your responsibility to bring out the difference.  This exercise should start not in the university but in your early school days.

There are many reasons that will impress the employer but some of the more powerful ones would be knowledge that is not available as part of your study curriculum.  You can acquire this knowledge from three sources.

1. Reading books.

• Developing the habit of reading books in your professional field.
• Applying those principals in your life.

2. Rubbing shoulders with people in the professional world.

• Attending and participating in professional events
• Participating in professional forums
• Organizing such events and forums

3. Working for an organization in the same field.

• Taking up a part time job in a professional organization.
• Taking up short term employment in a professional organization

The trick is to set a timeframe for the above activities, say month, quarter and for the year.  Are you now ready for a full house? Bingo!
