Happy New Year 2012. This is my last blog post for the year 2011 and I would like to share my top “4” recommendations for the year 2012 that made a difference in me and my outlook. Compound Effect: The lesson and my message is “be an entrepreneur, be the producer and not consumer”. The earlier you risk the faster you learn and win. As an entrepreneur or a producer you can reap the benefits of year on year of experiential asset, compounded for your generations to reap whereas being an employer or a consumer your experience stops earning compound interest no sooner you retire. Paller Think Strategy: I knew that every business or life skill needs strategy to stretch your meager resources. But I realized in 2011 that proactively using the word and powers of strategic thinking makes a big difference in how people perceive you and how you perceive taking steps. Any step you take during the day, week, month or life; think strategy and you will begin to unfold solutions to complex problems; you will start garnering people support. Strategy automates your progress whereas the sound of word STRATEGY, reflects power and tells you why and where to focus? Switchwords: I came across an interesting article on Switch words extracted from the book “The secret to perfect living” authored by James Mangans in 1957. A "switchword" is the essence of an experience, condition, or desired result, expressed as a single word. Declare, affirm, chant, sing, or even just mentally "intend" the switchword. For example: one of the most practically word is: REACH. — to find anything you're looking for, such as: Whenever you misplace something, or are searching for something, or want to solve a problem, just persistently declare or chant, silently or aloud, "REACH." Then let yourself go wherever you feel to, and watch yourself go directly to what you are looking for! Similarly... *Whenever you want to sell something, say: GIVE. *Whenever you want to make money: COUNT. *For good health, and/or for peace: BE. * One master-key switchword to do anything with mastery: TOGETHER. Thinking Switch words may not have brought me magical results but one thing is certain, it brings back the focus, it continues to remind me and anything that is focused on gets achieved.
