What is entertainment by the television channels?
What is the definition of entertainment by television channels? The year 2010 had witnessed a lot of reality shows and scams and talk shows and face to face with celebrities and politicians and what exactly are the channels portraying to the general public?Now for us entertainment purely is scams on famous business men or women,sportsmen,politicians,celebrities and the like.The media is like a spy dog running after these people which is becoming a laughing stock for the viewers.We enjoy the faces of scamsters and politicians running for life and words to express their innocence and of opposition parties blaming the ruling party for corruption charges.That is the monopoly of news channels.Now coming to the entertainment channels what we see is full of reality shows.Repeated songs or dance sequences by young artists who are imitating the original singers or actors.Dancers are like schizophrenics affected by some alarming mental syndrome.They don't even know what kind of art form are they following.Then comes the celebrities.Face to face interivew.What is Katrina kaif wearing for the next movie?whom is dating with?What is her opinion about Indian cinema and the like?Who is bothered about what the viewers need?Movies with no sense and the ones who act in them and what is the purpose of interviewing those people?Who is interested to know what salman khan is upto or when shahrukh khan went to U.S, the ones who enjoy life by not even paying tax properly to the Government, when others break their head 24x7 in MNCs to develop software or outsource for US firms.There is nobody to expose the intelligent lot in different fields of IT,Medical science,Agriculture and many more.Dear channel owners, we want quality programmes based on certain other fields and those who are in other echelons of society who are really contributing to the society like NGOs,Charity institutions etc to be brought into the limelight and the services they do to the society.Instead of that we hardly like to see those made up faces proudly sitting and savouring life like sweet candy who are being paid crores for all the nonsense they portray in movies.Will channels be ready to take a survey to know the opinion of viewers and show us what we miss to watch? Quite informative and educative subjects that our country has a vast resource of intellectuals and talents in different fields who are not even known to us.We want to know who is who? We hardly need to get embarassed with the scamsters,corrupt officers and the embezzling investigative team together with the politicians at the peak of corruption which is dangerous than terrorism.Terrorism is within our country.Eradicate the Terror of corruption.I envy channels for exposing them but at the same time what we need as entertainment is not just movies,serials,or reality shows.We need more...Are you ready for 2011?If not viewers will have to sue the channels in the name of entertainment.HAPPY NEW YEAR!
