Nine engineers selected in campus placement at Allahabad University

Confronting the adverse situation, prevailing in and around the campus of Allahabad University, the authorities of the department of Electronics and Communication (J K Institute) of Allahabad University conducted the campus recruitment, on Friday. As many as 112 budding engineers from AU, MNNIT and IERT participated in the recruitment process and nine finally getting selected.

"These students are selected for the post of software developer and starting their job as trainee, they are recruited on the annual package of Rs three lakh," said Shukla. Meanwhile, the Society of Microbiologists at the department of Microbiology and Fermentation Technology, Sam Higg in bottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences (SHIATS) organised a guest lecture on Friday at the Jacob School of Biotechnology & Bioengineering, SHIATS. The programme was graced by Prof Newman Fernandes, director, distance education and director, professional and life long education, SHIATS as the chief guest.

Detailing on the recruitment process, Dr NK Shukla of the department said that the aspirants were tested for their skills through paragraph writing, aptitude test, written technical test and technical and HR interview. Students from JK Institute, MNNIT and IERT participated in the recruitment process. A total of 112 students were enrolled, out of which nine students were finally selected. Among these, 5 were from JK Institute, 3 from MNNIT and 1 from IERT, he added.

The highly informative lecture was delivered by Dr AB Pant, senior scientist, in vitro toxicology, Indian Institute of Toxicology Research,Lucknow. Focused on 'Stem Cell: the translational research. The event marked the culmination of the annual session 2011-2012 for the Society of Microbiologists.
