IGNOU carry out workshop for French translators

Indira Gandhi National Open University (Ignou), School of Foreign Language (SOFL) to organizing four days (from 7 November 2011 to November 10) Translation international workshop in 2011 through the French Embassy Office of the book focuses on literary translation in languages French and various Indian and vice versa.

Experts from France and several universities in India are participating in the workshop held with 40 participants who are capable of translation theories and issues related to literary translation from French.

"This seminar is a unique opportunity to discuss issues related to the translation from French to Hindi, Tamil, Bangla, Marathi, Malayalam, Bhojpuri, Kannada, Mythili, Assamese, Oriya, Gujarati and Santhal. It 'is the third workshop doing since 2009, "said Sushant Kumar Mishra, Professor, Reader (French), SOFL, IGNOU.
