Misfortunes and Fortunes are on the same platform. Spiritual strength and detachment towards material objects will cleanse our mind and leads us to an enlightened path.

Misfortunes of life do come as they are, they come on horseback and leaves by foot. When we could recognize the good fortunes, savouring the impact of pleasant events that follow us we loose ourselves in a world of intoxication. The good has a short life span and it gradually fades away. This transient transit only transports us to a different mode of time and leaves us as celluloid heroes, empty and hollow inside.

The understanding of misfortune must surely a fine subject and for closer study in relations with good over the bad. The cause and effect theory founded in ancient Hindu philosophy in understanding human life and behaviour seems to me as highly appropriate in this modern world. Where science and technology only seems to trumpet its findings by resounding echoes.

The attitudinal switch over in a whimsical caprice devoid of any balanced judgement could lead to a voluntary mishap or there could present events, in spite of collective intelligence.

Inconsistent, volatile behaviour taken in random haste would invariably bring unhappiness. Errors in judgements would result when an individual becomes self-centred and in self-indulgent actions identify, seeing and recognizing only the self. Extension of this self and pursuance of selfishness alone corrupts all known morals and pushes into quagmire of confusion and bewilderment. Which has the power to devour its own roots? It is a sand pit beyond the estates of escape and resurrection. Self-pity and cravings dose more harm to life than anything. There can not be a lesser thought and an undesirable sentiment other than an individual closing all doors for himself, taking unjustifiable time to think of himself, as unworthy and denigrating his being to the level of a sub human. This state of mental depression, which is a debilitating illness is acquired from the very roots of personality leading on to a syndrome of chronic remorse and dehumanise the very birth of human kind.

Maturity of mind and body is nobody’s monopoly, it has to be nurtured and developed.

When tragedies strike, the impact need not be measured, it is most logical to face the total impact and allow it to gradually fade away. But instead, if we develop resistance or think of any alternate ways of escape it would be a disaster. The sub conscious do not spare us. It turns out to be a haunting, guilt ridden endless experience. The Nature has to be conquered by super nature alone. Any inferior means of dealing with it is futile exercise. Ground realities are such that, it precisely makes you realise the truth. Here again, a subtle understanding of impermanence of all material things and the limited time we all share this planet as a matter of fact, is enough to bring enlightenment.

Much of our lives are spent in acquiring material things, to make property, earn money and build up a pseudo security extending the same to our future generations. Guarding the family, breeding children, loving and depending on mortals for psychological security. We feel secure out of interdependence and build up synthetic world of security. If these fortified walls for some reason crumble, we are disenchanted and the world becomes unseemly place to live with.

When at the bequest of bad times, one should not indulge in self-persecution and acts of condemning oneself. Instead, do what is best for the times and forget it. Chronic worry is undesirable sentiments it dose not serve anything for the victim.

Life for one thing do not always promise happier times, it will not give much more than what you can give, besides it owes you nothing. It is not even a give and take game. But at best, it can give you experiences, which can strengthen your personality. Through trails and tribulations it makes our immune systems strong.

It is better to boost self-morale and actually enjoy and positively live in strength. Eat nourishing food and respect your sole. During this period you need self-respect. Human beings are superior and intelligent species on earth. Let this factor justify in right glory. Mind and body needs caring and nursing when it hibernates. When in good times, we neglect looking after our self, for others will take care of it. But when isolated and forlorn, it is our duty and we alone should take care and nourish our being.

The life on earth will take new hues and shades, becoming totally revitalizing, where the nature in its fold takes the super nature as one and the same. Barren lands will be sprouting green plants, there will be more activities of the birds and bees, and toxins from the land and seas distilled, the clear brook flows over the rocks and hills. And at distance pleasant singing of nymphs surrounds and this very earth would become a paradise, an easy accessible lively and colourful planet. If only humans live up to benevolent qualities and love replicates in place of repugnance. Wars forgotten and peace ensured on this planet.

To be happy we need to step out of our attitudes and conditional thinking. Have an open mind and perceive reality rather than what we have painfully gathered over many years of accumulated knowledge. We must undertake everything in true human spirit. Never hesitate to unlearn what we have learned. For no true learning have any boundaries. Every source of knowledge needs to be sized up, understood and accepted time to time.

Misfortunes and Fortunes are on the same platform. Spiritual strength and detachment towards material objects will cleanse our mind and leads us to an enlightened path. Material objects of desire are not permanent, the moment we realize the impermanence of any kind of mental fixation, attachment and bondage turns out to be a vice; it impedes productive growth and makes us diminutive. Even in the face of wretched poverty and misfortune a person need not buckle down, as long as one believes in God, there is no cause for any anxiety. Human beings cannot be hunted by their own kind. Any reprimand to be given invariably has to come from the supreme lord. Any thing in excess, sensory indulgent activity for instance- leaves hollowness in our lives. Food we eat, the music we hear, things we see, passionate with objects of desire all of which is available to us, but in limitations one should appreciate the benign gifts of the God. Nature cannot be adjudged and quantified in excess of actual need.

Life itself is a series of events. In a cyclic manner it puts you into circumstances and exposes you to every facet. Beneath this opportunity, lies the challenge of facing these issues with fitting attitudes and with positive mental approach. New ideas should replace old concepts and correlate to the present life circumstances. If the time is not ripe invent new thoughts to brighten the prospects. One should not be afraid of failure or loosing, a person who is deadly cautious falls much harder in life than one who takes intelligent risks in life. Human birth is conceived to be of profound karmic importance, most revered and desired compared to other births. It is for us to meticulously refine and cherish higher perceptions and visions. Practice virtuous living and foster its kind.
