About the College:
B.M.S. College of Engineering, the first private Engineering College ever to be set up in India, was established by Sri.B.M.Sreenivasaiah in 1946. After the demise of Sri.B.M.Sreenivasaiah, Sri.B.S.Narayan, the dynamic and illustrious son of the founder took over the reigns of the college and under his stewardship, the institution grew from strength to strength. This institution is a part of B.M.S. Educational Trust, a Public Charitable Institution, constituted by the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka. The Trust manages 3 Engineering institutions, one Women’s College and one Law College.

The MBA programme of the BMS College of Engineering is two year full-time degree course in Marketing Management, Financial Management, Human Resource Management.

In the advertisement of AICTE No.AICTE/PC/2(1)2006 in the Times of India daily 01.03.2006, it is stated that “The subscription to e-journals through the consortium would be treated as substitute to the requirement of foreign journals in print”. Accordingly, the college is subscribing to ASCE, ASME, Springer link, DEL, ESDU and Science Direct e-journals through the said consortium.
