AMITY: A STEPPING STONE TO MY SUCCESS.

“Success and dreams come true when they meet the Right Opportunities”

Coming all the way from a small city of Allahabad, I am Mohammad Azahar, student of MBA-Rural Management, Amity University Uttar Pradesh. It is often said that the ambience of a place changes your attitude towards life, makes you more passionate, introduces you to new goals and enhances your overall personality. I got all these from none other than AMITY and I am proud to be an Amitian. I observe a complete change in me since I have joined Amity. I have been able to nurture my talent, analyze myself as a whole, and with the precious guidance of my faculty, my honourable Director General and Director, Mr. S.P Jakhanwal, IAS (Retd) and Dr. P.C Sabhrawal, I have got the courage and the zeal of fulfilling my dreams, I have not only been able to fetch a job through Amity but I have got exposure to the rural poor. My teachers who have constantly motivated me to work harder in my field and my strong dedication to work in the Microfinance sector and help the rural poor has made me attend several conferences such as TIE Summit, Microfinance India Summit etc., I have also actively participated in the International conferences, and because of my junoon (obsession) to know problems of rural India, I have been able to attend seven days training on “Community mobilization for planning and implementation of MGNREGS at Jaipur.

Indulging myself deeply into Microfinance field took me to HAND IN HAND INDIA, one of the largest organizations in this field. I did my research in “Competition in Microfinance Market in the Operational area of HIH” from HAND IN HAND INDIA, working there and getting the real exposure of regular field works, and a close understanding of rural poor in India, my internship report and presentation were appreciated by the top executives of HIH, which accelerated me and gave a hike to my ideas of developing something new in the field of Microfinance and motivated me to write articles on it.

My mission reached, when I got the opportunity to be a part of MICROFINANCE INDIA SUMMIT 2011, metaphorically, the conference proved to be the icing on the cake. I could seek guidance, suggestions and advice from eminent people of the industry, CEO’s of different organizations and several other experienced gentlemen. I was highly obliged when my work in the Microfinance field was highly appreciated and acknowledged. I there-in got the opportunity of joining HAND IN HAND INDIA, the summit was also a huge milestone for my success and currently I am working on the Pilot Project of Ministry of Women & Child Development. It is often said “well begun is half done”; I will give my cent% to the work I am assigned for.

I would like to thank the almighty ALLAH, my parents, and all the people who have blessed me at every step of my journey. I would give my heartiest thanks to AMITY UNIVERSITY and my Ideal Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan for providing me the finest education, which ultimately proved to be the only reason of my success.
