When to Rebrand a product ?
When to Rebrand?
If your company is headed towards a new direction, either by adopting a
revolutionary new technology, or by introducing diametrically different product
offerings, or entering new markets then a makeover should indeed be carried
out, in order to introduce new customers and clients to your new offerings.
How to rebrand a small business
Rebranding must always be conducted very carefully and comprehensively. Ideally, rebranding you should change everything all together. Change your logo (and the company name if necessary) and your brand principles. Then apply them to all your sales tools- from your website, to your brochures and business cards. This can of course be an expensive transition phase and demands some pretty careful cost-risk analysis. If your your budget only allow you to change one thing at a time, carefully focus your attention on your consumers' first point of contact with your brand. For instance, a retail business would be better of to initiate the rebranding campaign by first changing its signage or logo and then changing its name, while a B2B organization would probably first concentrate on changing the look of its site.
Branding is no longer an option, it has become life blood of the corporate
sector. How a person perceives your company is what will make him decide to buy
or not to buy from you. But once you have chosen your brand avatar, be true to
it. Reinventing your business again and again is superfluous and risky, but adapting
to changing times and moving along with the changing consumer needs is crucial.
So take control of your business with focused, relevant and strategic branding
that successfully differentiates from your competitors and enables you to
maximize your sales and profits.
